Situated in the hills of the North Eifel region of western Germany within the Eifel Nature Park in the narrow valley of the Rur river lays the small health resort town of Monschau with its historic town centre with its preserved half timbered houses and narrow streets. The town sits in the shadow of the imposing castle Monschau which dates back to the 13th century. Surrounded by the low mountain ranges of the Eifel region renowned for the beauty of it landscape and lakes and for the well preserved villages and buildings.

Situated in the Eifel region of western Germany in the resort town of Monschau, the family owned Carat Hotel offers guests warm hospitality and friendly service. The hotel is located in the historic old town with its narrow streets and half-timbered houses. All rooms have private facilities, hair dryer, telephone and television. Hotel facilities
include indoor swimming pool, Finnish sauna and beauty salon. Meals served in the restaurant are buffet style.
Itinerary
Day 1: Channel crossing and onto our overnight at the Hotel Alize Mouscron.
Day 2: Travel into Germany and our resort of Monschau.
Day 3: A morning at leisure to explore Monschau. In the afternoon we make a short excursion to nearby Aachen, a city of great interest.
Day 4: A full day excursion to Trier and the Moselle valley. See the many reminders of the city’s Roman history as well as the Cathedral and lovely Market Place
Day 5: Another lovely scenic day excursion to the Rhine and Ahr valleys and towns
Day 6: Return journey to Mouscron with an overnight at the Hotel Alize.
Day 7: Channel crossing and return home.
