Situated on the Mediterranean coast of western Liguria in north-western Italy San Remo is the capital town of the Italian Riviera of flowers. San Remo, our base for this tour has been a popular tourist destination since the 1800’s, when it was popular amongst artists. The town lies in an inlet between Capo Nero and Capo Verde and its interesting old town is characterised by steep narrow streets, covered alleyways, small squares and precariously perched houses. Renowned for its all year round mild climate, San Remo is also known as the “Town of Flowers” and is renowned the world over for its spectacular gardens colourful flowerbeds and for its town parks with there tropical plants flourish due to the mild climate.

Itinerary

Day 1: Outward journey via Eurotunnel to the Paris area for an overnight stay.san remo beach
Day 2: Continue to San Remo and spend 6 nights at the Hotel Europa.
Day 3: Day of leisure in San Remo.
Day 4: A full day to Nice, the largest resort on the French Riviera with its clear blue seas, fabulous shopping, grand architectural buildings with beautiful art-deco facades, flower market and numerous attractions including the Matisse Museum, Russian Cathedral and Ancient Roman ruins make it a wonderful place to visit.
Day 5: A full day visiting Monaco, the second smallest country in the world after the Vatican City, with a visit to Monte Carlo. Monte Carlo is probably the most popular and well known area of Monaco, famous as the playground of the wealthy, with its harbour filed with yachts, its casino and as the home of Grace Kelly and Prince Rainier.
Day 6: A full day tour travelling via the Riviera dei Fiori, visiting Diano Marina, the small municipality in Liguria were will allow time to sightsee, before continuing on towards Alassio. Alassio is one of the most famous resorts on the western Ligurian Riviera renowned for its stunning views and natural beauty with its clear blue seas, sandy beaches, pier and magnificent bay.
Day 7: Day of leisure in San Remo
Day 8: Homeward journey travelling to the Paris area for an overnight stay.
Day 9: After an early breakfast, continue via Eurotunnel, arriving home early evening.
