Itinerary
Day 1: Leisurely outward journey to Blackpool spending four nights at the Imperial Hotel arriving early afternoon.
Day 2: Full day Morecambe & Lancaster. We first visit the historic city of Lancaster where the Castle, City Museum and Maritime Museum are worth a visit. We then take the short journey to Morecambe for an afternoon by the sea with lovely views of Morecambe Bay and the hills of the Lake District. There is a covered market in Morecambe which opens on Tuesday.
Day 3: Day of leisure in Blackpool.
Day 4: Full day Southport. We head south to complete the trio of seaside resorts with a visit to Southport. Famous Lord Street with its Victorian canopies is a delight for strolling and shopping and large investment has recently been made in the sea front area.
Day 5: Depart after lunch for the homeward journey arriving late afternoon.
