Itinerary

Day 1: Leisurely outward journey to Durham spending four nights at the Honest Lawyer Hotel arriving mid afternoon.
Day 2: Full day Hexham & Hadrians Wall. Travel first to historic Hexham, where market day is on Tuesday. We continue to view sites on Hadrian’s Wall, built by the emperor to protect the Roman Empire from the savage Scots! We’ll follow the  course from Greenhead to Low Brunton with photo stops.
Day 3: Day of leisure in Durham
Day 4: Full day Beamish. A visit is included to Beamish, one of England’s best living history museums, bringing our past to life with reconstructed shops & houses, costumed staff and historic vehicles. If time allows after the visit we’ll stop at the  Metro Centre, Britain’s largest indoor shopping centre.
Day 5: Depart after breakfast for the homeward journey arriving late afternoon.
