Situated in on the border between Norfolk and Suffolk, 10 miles from Lowestoft lies the small village of Gunton and Warner’s Gunton Hall Coastal Village, our base for this tour to Suffolk. The county of Suffolk is a flat low-lying region of wide open spaces, farmland and wetland  areas with the Broads to the north of the county. The surrounding coast and heathland area is an area of outstanding natural beauty and  the region also boasts an RSPB reserve, three Nature Reserves and several Areas of Special Scientific Interest. The towns of Ipswich.  Lowestoft and Bury St Edmonds are also nearby.

Itinerary

Day 1: Leisurely outward journey to Suffolk spending four nights at Gunton Hall arriving late afternoon.
Day 2: Full day Norwich & The Norfolk Broads. We tour the lovely Norfolk Broads, making stops at a floating Wildlife Centre and Craft Centre. We then travel into Norwich, a pleasant city with beautiful historic quarter containing the Cathedral and ancient streets. It’s also home to Colmans Mustard Shop.
Day 3: Day of leisure in Gunton Hall.
Day 4: Full day Southwold, & Suffolk Villages. An excursion down the Suffolk coast, stopping in the delightful resort of Southwold, where Thursday is market day. Later we meander through some of the lovely local villages with a stop in Stowmarket.
Day 5: Depart after breakfast for the homeward journey arriving early evening.
