Itinerary

Day 1: Leisurely outward journey to Harrogate spending four nights at The Barcelo Harrogate Majestic arriving early  afternoon.
Day 2: Full day York, one of Britain’s gems, a beautiful historic city with ancient narrow lanes, interesting little shops and numerous excellent visitor attractions. These include York Minster, Jorvik Viking Centre, Castle Museum the National Railway Museum and many others.
Day 3: Day of leisure in Harrogate
Day 4: Full day Ripon & Thirsk. A journey into “Herriot Country” with attractive towns and rolling moors & dales. We travel first via Pateley Bridge to Ripon where markets
are held on Thursdays in the historic square. Next stop is pretty Thirsk, full of attractive buildings and famous as the town where “James Herriott” practised. His surgery can be visited.
Day 5: Depart after breakfast for the homeward journey arriving late afternoon.
