Day 1: Leisurely outward journey to Newquay spending six nights at the Esplanade Hotel arriving late afternoon.
Day 2: Day of leisure in Newquay.
Day 3: Full day Padstow and “Doc Martin” Country. Followers of the comedy drama “Doc Martin” may recognise some of the sites we visit on this day including the village named “Portwenn” in the series. We’ll also visit the delightful fishing village of Padstow with its beautiful, sheltered harbour.
Day 4: Day of leisure in Newquay.
Day 5: Full day St Austell, Mevagissey and Lost Gardens of Heligan. We include a visit to the Lost Gardens of Heligan,
amazingly discovered under brambles in 1990. Nearby is beautiful Mevagissey with its fishing harbour much favoured by landscape artists. Continue to St Austell where Cornish Market World, one of Britain’s largest indoor markets, is open on Wednesday during the summer months.
Day 6: Day of leisure in Newquay.
Day 7: Depart after breakfast for the homeward journey arriving late afternoon.
