The popular resort of Weymouth, situated on the Dorset coast, is surrounded by beautiful countryside with its rolling Dorset Downs and scenic coastal paths. Its crowning glory is its beautiful beach and seafront boasting many shops and cafés, perfect for a leisurely stroll. It is also fast becoming a mecca for watersports enthusiasts and along with neighbouring Portland, it will be the host town for the Sailing Events of The London 2012 Olympic Games.

Itinerary

Day 1: Leisurely outward journey to Weymouth spending four nights at the Russell Hotel arriving late afternoon.
Day 2: Day of leisure in Weymouth
Day 3: Day visit to Bridport, Lyme Regis & Abbottsbury. We visit Lyme Regis with its famous Cobb Harbour, located within a World Heritage Site; then on to pretty
Bridport. Our final stop is the picturesque village of Abbottsbury located at one end of Chesil Beach, famous among fossil hunters. Wednesday is market day in Bridport.
Day 4: Full day Delights of Dorset guided tour. Our local guide will take us on a journey of discovery through Dorset’s towns and villages, with local anecdotes, hidden gems and historic wonders.
Day 5: Depart after breakfast for the homeward journey arriving late afternoon.
