Itinerary

Day 1: Leisurely outward journey to Cardiff spending four nights at the Cardiff International Hotel arriving mid afternoon.
Day 2: Full day The Welsh Valleys & Brecon Beacons. Travel up the Merthyr Valley with its proud mining heritage, then into the Brecon Beacons National Park. We stop in Brecon, where Tuesday is market day, before continuing our scenic tour through the Usk Valley and Fforest Fawr.
Day 3: Day of leisure in Cardiff
Day 4: Full day Barry Island & Welsh National History Museum, two contrasting visits. We first visit the fascinating  National History Museum, a living history museum where local history is brought to life by traditional crafts and reconstructed buildings. Afterwards it’s to the seaside we go to enjoy the sandy beach and fun fair at Barry Island.
Day 5: Depart after breakfast for the homeward journey arriving late afternoon.
