The pretty town of Blairgowrie, Perthshire’s second largest town is situated on the south-west side of the River Ericht, to the north of Strathmore at the foot of the Grampian Mountains. Blairgowrie is known as the gateway to Glenshee and its
centrepiece the Wellmeadow hosts regular markets and outdoor entertainment. The area itself is popular with cyclists and walkers and is often referred to as the adventure playground of Scotland.

Itinerary

Day 1: Leisurely outward journey to Blairgowrie spending four nights at the Angus Hotel arriving late afternoon.
Day 2: Full day Glenshee, Braemar & Royal Deeside. A truly scenic day, travelling through the Pass of Glenshee to Braemar, home of the most famous Highland Games. We then pass the Royal Estate at Balmoral and Crathie Church before stopping in the pretty town of Ballater.
Day 3: Day of leisure in Blairgowrie.
Day 4: Full day Pitlochry & Loch Tummel. Scenic journey to Pitlochry via Strathardle. We stop in the town for a visit to the Woollen Mill and optional walk to the amazing
Salmon Ladder. Continue to Loch Tummel and famous Queens View. Return via Dunkeld and the world’s biggest hedge at Meikleour.
Day 5: Depart after breakfast for the homeward journey arriving late afternoon.
