Our short break for 2012 is centred in Falkirk, situated in the Central Lowlands region of Scotland. The Edinburgh Military Tattoo is undoubtedly one of the world’s most famous and spectacular events. This colourful and exciting performance features breathtaking displays by marching bands in the dramatic setting of the floodlit Castle Esplanade.

Itinerary

Day 1: Leisurely outward journey to Falkirk and spend 2 nights at the Airth Castle Hotel arriving in time for dinner.
Day 2: Depart after breakfast and spend a full day at leisure in Edinburgh. In the evening we visit the 9pm Edinburgh Military Tattoo performance (tickets included). From its early days, the Edinburgh Tattoo has been an international favourite. It is an open air performance and warm and waterproof clothing is recommended. An evening meal is not included on this day.
Day 3: Depart after breakfast for the homeward journey arriving early evening.
