Killarney is Ireland’s most popular tourist destination, situated north of the MacGillicuddey Reeks mountain range in County Kerry in south-western Ireland on the north-eastern sore of the Lough Lein/Leane. Its colourful streets are lined with interesting shops and music bars, the famous jaunting cars, gorgeous lakes and the spectacular mountain scenery of Killarney National Park which is located south west of Killarney.

The Holiday Inn is located about just over half a mile from the town centre towards the mountains of the National Park. Its spacious public areas and leisure centre make it a comfortable and relaxing base. All rooms have private facilities, telephone, television and hairdryer. The hotel features an indoor swimming pool with Jacuzzi, sauna and steam room. A lift serves all floors and the restaurant serves buffet style breakfast and waiter service evening meal with choice of menu.
Itinerary
Day 1: Travel through North Wales to Holyhead for an afternoon crossing to Dublin. Travel on to our overnight hotel in the Dublin area.
Day 2: Travel across Ireland with a journey featuring the best scenery and interesting stops en route. This evening will feature a welcome drink & “Welcome To Ireland” talk including a light-hearted introduction to the Gaelic language.
Day 3: Travel to Kerry’s county town of Tralee for a stop before enjoying the wonderful scenery of the Dingle Peninsula. We visit the fishing port of Dingle, from where whale and seal watching trips are available. This evening will feature light entertainment with a chance to have a go at a typical Irish activity e.g. playing the Bodrhan (drum) or dancing.
Day 4: A leisurely day spent in and around Killarney. This evening will feature an Irish-themed quiz at the hotel with a small prize for the winning team.
Day 5: The Ring of Kerry, often said to be Ireland’s most spectacular excursion. Skirt the Iveragh Peninsula with mountains to one side, superb sea views on the other & many ancient relics of former inhabitants. Tonight is Ceilidh night at the hotel with traditional Irish music and a chance for a bit of “craic”.
Day 6: Head back across Ireland via a scenic route to a final overnight stay in the Dublin area.
Day 7: Morning ferry crossing to Holyhead and travel homeward.
