Set amidst the scenic splendour and majesty of Perthshire’s southern Highland border, close to Edinburgh and St. Andrews on the banks of Loch Leven, the largest Loch on the Scottish lowlands lies the former county town of Kinross. Close by are numerous attractions including Lochleven Castle were Mary Queen of Scots was held prisoner before escaping into exile. Other notable historic figures who have visited the area include Queen Margaret of Scotland, William Wallace and Robert the Bruce. Glasgow, Dundee, Perth and the picturesque East Neuk fishing villages are all within driving distance of Kinross.

Itinerary
Day 1: Leisurely outward journey to Kinross spending four nights at the Green Hotel arriving late afternoon.
Day 2: Full day Perth & Dundee. Stop first in the beautiful city of Perth with its distinctive architecture, then along the Firth of Tay to Dundee. It’s an excellent shopping city and home to Scott of the Antarctic’s ship Discovery.
Day 3: Day of leisure in Kinross.
Day 4: Full day St Andrews & the Kingdom of Fife. We travel through the Lomond Hills Regional Park and a stop in the historic town of Cupar en route to St Andrews, home of golf and the famous university. Travel back along the coast road from Crail to Kirkcaldy, passing pretty fishing ports.
Day 5: Depart after breakfast for the homeward journey arriving late afternoon.
