Itinerary

Day 1: Leisurely outward journey to Lanarkshire spending four nights at the Tinto Hotel arriving late afternoon.
Day 2: Full day Ayr & Robbie Burns Country. We head for the west coast and the Firth of Clyde. Our main stop is the town of Ayr, a seaside resort and home to Scotland’s most famous poet Robbie Burns.
Day 3: Full day Scottish Border Towns & Berwick Upon Tweed. To the east this time, travelling through the Scottish Border towns of Peebles, Melrose and Kelso en route to the ancient walled town of Berwick-Upon-Tweed, just over the border in England. Market day in Berwick is Wednesday.
Day 4: Day of leisure in Lanarkshire.
Day 5: Depart after breakfast for the homeward journey arriving early evening.
