We return to this lovely spot in the centre of Scotland where the Highlands meet the Lowlands. The central location means that excellent excursions can be taken in all directions. Our hotel is in the village of Killin, home to the popular Falls of Dochart. This lovely old building continues to be improved by its present owners. It is a few minutes walk from the village centre in a quiet location close to beautiful Loch Tay.

The hotel is located on the banks of the River Lochay with views looking towards Tarmachan Ridge and was taken over by its current owners in 2007 who have steadily refurbished this lovely old building situated in a quiet location close to Loch Tay. What’s included:

Itinerary
Day 1: Travel north and into Scotland with a stop in Gretna Green. Continue via Glasgow and Stirling to Killin.
Day 2: A scenic journey alongside Loch Tay to Aberfeldy and a visit to Dewars World of Whisky. Continue afterwards to Pitlochry for time in the town, with its popular woollen mill and amazing salmon ladder. Leave Pitlochry and travel back via Queens View on gorgeous Loch Tummel, and Kenmore.
Day 3: Travel west via Crianlarich and Dalmally to Oban for a visit. En route you will pass the iconic Kilchurn Castle on Loch Awe.
Day 4: Travel to Tarbet for a boat trip on Loch Lomond, then follow the “Bonnie Banks” to the pretty town of Luss where visits are possible to a bagpipe maker. Return through the Trossachs National Park, home of the legendary outlaw Rob Roy McGregor. Traditional Scottish entertainment at the hotel.
Day 5: Leave Killin and travel to the ancient city of Stirling for a stop before continuing homeward.
