We first visit Skye, home to the spectacular Cuillin Mountains and a beautiful landscape around every corner. Our second island is Mull, with the colourful houses in Tobermory. Thirdly we visit “Scotland in miniature” – the lovely isle of Arran.

The Regent Hotel is located on the Esplanade, opposite the pier in Oban just a short walk from the centre of Oban with stunning views across the bay. All rooms have  private facilities, telephone, television and tea and coffee making facilities. A lift serves all floors in the main building of the hotel and the restaurant serves Waiter service meals with choice of menu.

The four stars rated Menzies Irvine hotel is located just outside Irvine, Ayrshire. Recently refurbished, all rooms have private facilities, telephone, television, hairdryer, trouser-press and tea and coffee making facilities. Whilst the hotel does not have a lift, ground/lower floor rooms are available on request. The restaurant serves buffet style breakfast and waiter service evening meal with choice of menu.

Itinerary

Day 1: Travel to East Kilbride for one night at the Bruce Hotel.
Day 2: Continue through wonderful highland scenery to Kyle of Lochalsh and across the Skye Bridge spending two nights at the  Kings Arms Hotel in Kyleakin.
Day 3: Isle of Skye excursion. A circular tour via Sligachan, Dunvegan and Skeabost to the island’s capital of Portree.
Day 4: Leave Skye on a scenic ferry crossing to Mallaig, then travel down the Road To The Isles to Fort William. After a short stop continue along the shores of Loch  Linnhe to Oban for a two night stay at the Regent Hotel.
Day 5: Isle of Mull excursion. Morning crossing from Oban to Craignure before travelling along the ‘Sound of Mull’ to the island capital Tobermory. Afternoon return  crossing to Oban.
Day 6: Take a beautiful drive alongside Loch Awe, passing the iconic Kilchurn Castle, then along the Bonnie Banks of Loch Lomond and continue into Ayreshire for a two  night stay at the Menzies Irvine Hotel.
Day 7: Isle of Arran excursion. The island has gained its nickname Scotland in Miniature because its geography mirrors that of the mainland but on a smaller scale. Travel out and back via Ardrossan.
Day 8: Homeward journey from Ayrshire.
