Arran and Mull

The Isle of Arran is one of the most southerly Scottish islands and sits in the Firth of Clyde between Ayrshire and Kintyre. The pretty villages on Arran's beautiful coastline are complemented by a rugged and mountainous interior in the north and green rolling hills and woodland in the south. The tour incorporates a stay on the Isle of Mull lying just off the west coast, home to ‘the last Munro’ otherwise known as Benmore.

2 nights dinner, bed and breakfast at the Isle of Mull Hotel at Craignure on the Isle of Mull

Day 1: Travel to Arran to the Kinloch Hotel, for a two night stay.

Day 2: Explore the north west coast and make a tour of the south of the island taking in the famous Arran food trail which includes a cheese factory, chocolate factory and not to mention Arran Aromatics natural cosmetics. Return to hotel for dinner and enjoy some live Scottish entertainment.

Day 3: A full day travelling to the north of the island, visiting the Isle of Arran Distillery before boarding the ferry to the mainland at Lochranza. Then we cross over to the Mull of Kintyre, visit the picturesque fishing village of Tarbert and head north through beautiful Argyllshire countryside, via the Crinan Canal, continue along the coast, with spectacular views of the the Isle of Islay and Jura before reaching Oban for our next ferry to the Isle of Mull. Continue to the Isle of Mull Hotel for a two night say.

Day 4: A full day tour of this magnificent island, taking the foot ferry to the Isle of Iona. Fantastic views of the Inner Hebrides accompany our tour of the west coast before returning to our hotel for dinner and overnight.

Day 5: We take the return ferry from Craignure to Oban before heading south, this time taking the dramatic route around Loch Awe to Crianlarich, then along the banks of Loch Lomond and homeward bound.

Isle of Mull Hotel

Situated on Craignure Bay with a convenient location to the ferry terminal and main centre. The hotel is centrally located but still giving the feeling of being a million miles away from it all.
