The Isle of Wight Steam Railway is a journey back in time. The railway runs for five miles from Wootton to Smallbrook Junction via Havenstree and Ashey. Carriages and locomotives have been restored to pristine condition. The oldest locomotive was built in 1876 and the carriages date back to 1864. The day begins with a visit to Cowes, the yachting capital of the island.

Early and late departures 28 March to 25 April and 3 October to 31 October 2010 A visit to the yachting centre of Cowes is followed by a tour of Osborne House - Queen Victoria’s seaside retreat. Enjoy the magnificent Royal Apartments, imagine Victorian life ‘below stairs’ and admire the stunning views across the Solent.

Godshill (Half Day): An excursion to the picture postcard village of Godshill. Whilst only a village, there is plenty to do and see with a large number of thatched houses together with gift shops and tea rooms. There is also a Model Village and a Toy Museum.

The Ocean Hotel, family run since 1958, offers 96 bedrooms and is conveniently situated between the High Street and the Esplanade overlooking the popular Sandown Bay. Lovely gardens and large heated saltwater pool
