2010 Cosmopolitan Hotel Leeds - Emmerdale & Last of the Summer Wine
For years, directors have flocked to Yorkshire in search of locations for their films. Its unspoilt charm has led film crews to set up their cameras throughout the area, in order to create some of our favourite television dramas and films. Our tour for 2010, takes us to Esholt (Beckindale), the original ‘Emmerdale’ location before the village was re-created near Leeds, then on to Holmfirth, the location of the comedy series ‘Last of the Summer Wine’.
Includes FREE insurance and the following itinerary
Day 1:
Travel to Leeds via Holmfirth, the setting for ‘Last of the Summer Wine’. Here it is possible to walk the streets of the town and browse the many fine craft shops, stop off at Nora Batty’s steps and perhaps even have a coffee in Sid’s Café.
Day 2:
A full day visit to York with many wonderful attractions to discover.
Day 3:
A full day visit to Harrogate, ‘England’s floral Town’ offering a host of attractions, including the famous Betty’s Tearooms.
Day 4:
Day of leisure in Leeds.
Day 5:
Return via the villages of Otley, better known as Hotton and Esholt (Beckindale), where you will visit ‘The Woolpack’, the church and Demdyke Row.
