The historic town of Caernarfon, a major tourist centre, offers a wealth of things to see and do; it is a town of contrasts, with plenty of local attractions. Mighty Caernarfon is possibly the most famous of Wales' Castles where history comes alive beneath the twin towered gatehouse with imaginative exhibitions located within the towers. Caernarfon is an excellent base for exploring Snowdonia and surrounding areas.
