Oban and Inverary: An excursion to the popular resort of Oban, the capital of North Argyll, travelling through the Pass of Brander. The road into Oban gives views across the Firth of Lorn to the Island of Mull. On the return journey a stop will be made at Inverary, situated on Loch Fyne.

Rothesay and the Kyles of Bute: Journey through the Glendaruel Forest to Tighnabruaich for a superb view of the Kyles of Bute. Take the short ferry journey on to the Island of Bute and continue to Rothesay, the principal town. Rothesay Castle is one of the best surviving medieval castles in Scotland. Return to Dunoon via the Cowal peninsula.

Benmore Botanical Gardens:
A shorter excursion around the Argyll Forest Park taking in Holy Loch and Loch Long with a visit to the Benmore Botanical Gardens (admission included).

The Royal Marine Hotel is set amongst the stunning Argyllshire scenery at the seaward gateway to Scotland's first National Park, yet overlooking the Firth of Clyde. Rooms at the Royal Marine will be allocated either in the main hotel or adjacent lodge.
