Shanklin, on the south east coast of the island, is home to a variety of safe, golden beaches and a quaint collection of shops housed in traditional thatched cottages. It is understandably one of the most popular resorts on the island with plenty to entertain, including a beautiful cliff walk which begins just minutes from the hotel.

Island Tour
A full day excursion touring the island. Travelling via Ventnor, Chale and Brighstone Bay to Yarmouth. Return to Shanklin via Newport and Ryde.

Isle of Wight Steam & Cowes (Fare included)
Main season departures May to September 2010
The Isle of Wight Steam Railway is a journey back in time. The railway runs for five miles from Wootton to Smallbrook Junction via Havenstree and Ashey. Carriages and locomotives have been restored to pristine condition. The oldest locomotive was built in 1876 and the carriages date back to 1864. The day begins with a visit to Cowes, the yachting capital of the island.

Osborne House and Cowes
Early and late departures 7 March to 25 April and 20 Oct to 5 Dec. A visit to the yachting centre of Cowes is followed by a tour of Osborne House- Queen Victoria’s seaside retreat. Enjoy the magnificent Royal Apartments, imagine Victorian life ‘below stairs’ and admire the stunning views across the Solent.

Godshill (Half Day)
An excursion to the picture postcard village of Godshill. Whilst only a village, there is plenty to do and see with a large numberof thatched houses together with gift shops and tea rooms. There is also a Model Village and a Toy Museum.
